Chris is currently active in the community: she is Secretary to:

​

• Telscombe Residents Association

• Lewes Havens Locality Forum (a group of Patient Participation Groups (PPGs).

• East Sussex Seniors Association.

• Meridian Mature Citizens Forum (Membership Secretary)

• Chair of HavensHealth PPG (see above)

 

Chris is also an active member of

​

• Peacehaven & Telscombe Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group

• East Sussex PPG Steering Group

• Chatsworth Park Working Group.

 

Chris’ skills include: secretarial (see above) and some computer skills. She is also a trained ex-professional oboe player and teacher, and although no longer “active” in these fields, still enjoys playing/practising her oboe most days.

 

She trained at the Royal Academy of Music and has 3 professional qualifications equivalent to university degrees.

​

Chris is also a fully qualified First Aider.

​

Chris is married to Patrick Bowman.

​

Both Pat (and for the most part Chris) have, for the last 40 years, been transporting elderly ladies (sometimes gents, but mostly ladies), to their Tea Club on Monday afternoons in the Newhaven Peacehaven & Seaford Lions Club minibus.

​

Both Pat and Chris are passionate about Peacehaven and Telscombe Cliffs/East Saltdean and Telscombe Village.
